I was born and raised in the bustling lively city of Bogotá, Colombia. At a young age my new home became a very small rural town in Boyacá, Colombia. Here the love of nature and creativity was born. My entertainment in this small town was my imagination. My imagination allowed me to feel like I was living a life of prosperity and abundance. Although our family did not have much, my imagination made me feel rich in happiness and adventure.
Looking back one day has always stood out for me. The day I sat in front of an old run down fuzzy television and I was transported to another world. It was a moment I will never forget. I was observing a different slice of life. It was a family that didn’t look like mine, but through them I shared their laughter and their tears. That show was a window to another world. From that day something inside of me was born. I wanted to create and be in imaginary worlds. To be able to learn and live someone else’s story and share it for understanding, empathy, relief, or for just a pause on someone’s busy life.
Being able to be in this creative world is a gift. My angel of a mother brought my sister and I to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream. I didn’t know for many years, how my road would lead me to where I am today, pursuing my dream. I was just following the path. I was sidetracked for many years living life, traveling the world and gaining experiences.
Now I am back with my feet on the ground ready to achieve my goals. I have been lucky to learn from Master teachers such as Margie Haber, Howard Fine, Anthony Meindl as well as learning Improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade. I am a life long learner. I am here to be immersed in someone’s chapter and bring it to life.
